The NASA lunar mission experience is a centerpiece to this exhibit, allowing users to learn about NASA's plans to construct an outpost on the moon. It runs on a Gesturetek multitouch table and allows up to four attendees to work simultaneously to construct a moon base model. Information and interactive 3D models of each lunar base component are available to each player.

Each player can select and view moon base modules in his or her respective control panel interface. The 3D models of each component can be rotated and zoomed. As this is a true multitouch surface (with robust custom multitouch interface software that fully exploits the capabilities of the hardware) each player's control panel operates independently and simultaneously.

I was responsible for a significant portion of the design of this piece, as well as all programming and the on-site install at NASA in Huntsville Alabama.

The lunar mission table is one component of a fully networked system. In addition to the table, other interactive and display pieces (including a 5-screen synchronized surround theater) are all under networked show control. I was responsible for on-site modifications and maintenance to these existing pieces and infrastructure.
