From 2007-2009 I've been involved in the production of entertainment events at some of the premier venues in Los Angeles, including Avalon and The Edison.
My primary role in these productions has been designing and implementing the DMX-controlled (often driven by a computer-based sequencer) lighting systems, which have included traditional stage lighting, LED instruments, scanners, lasers and FX. These productions also often include video projection that is either computer-sequenced or a live ("VJ") mix or a combination of the two. In the latter cases I'm usually heavily involved in the design, production and post-production of the video sources.
On occasion my design responsibilities include the installation/staging itself, such as the case of a steel-and-wire spiderweb that was installed for a (vertical) dance performance at Avalon, Hollywood on Halloween, 2007.
The stage rig for Moodorgan includes custom stands, hardware and MIDI controllers (some descriptions of these are here.
